Thanks Benjula :]

In an interview, Joe said they wanted David Guetta for a remix Neutral

Bidded a max of £20 inc. P&P (so that means my max. bid is £19).
Winning at £13.49 (they'd bidded £12.99).

Not bidding on it again unfortunately; it's hit £30.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure that another one of these will come up again, so we'll just have to wait.

It works out at something like £4 a track now that I rebidded, got his maximum bid of £36.99, retracted said rebid and put in a bid of £35.99 so that'll mean that that guy will have to pay £37 for a remixes promo! Twisted Evil

I have to admit that I have unfortunately been on the wrong end of this as well; once put a maximum bid of £70 on the first version of Hot Chip's Coming On Strong 8-track vinyl LP (500 were only ever made) and well... the auction hit £70.

Also, back when I was younger I got outbid on a copy of The Rakes' Strasbourg 7" which ended at like £39.99, so the seller contacted me saying he had another one and would I be interested in buying it... at £37.99. Felt absolutely ridiculous afterwards when I discovered that the b-side was scratched, causing it to skip the start of Just Got Paid! Evil or Very Mad

I've never paid more than 20 euros for a CD/Vinyl. I think it's kind of insane to pay almost 50 euros for something that in a month or two will be worth more than the half Suspect

But well, it's metronomy after all...

Just to show how ridiculous this auction has got: http://www.popsike.com/METRONOMY-5-X-12CD-MINT-NEW-YOU-COULD-EASILY-HAVE-ME/140512931038.html

That ended at £31 for 4 12"s (YCEHM, MHRR, Heartbreaker & NMFL) & the Nights Out album.

This looks to be ending at £37 for a 9-track promo CD.

But that is different. The "You Could Easily Have Me" is a very rare vinyl, really hard to find, and I think it worths what it has been paid Wink

I think you might have got a bit confused.

What I'm saying is that this promo CD isn't worth nearly £40. There will most likely be another one up on eBay or on another site within a few months, and to pay this much for it is just... well, stupid.

EDIT: Plus, with the 12"s auction, you've paid £31 for approximately 30 tracks. With this, it's £37 for just 9.

oh no, I agree with you. The thing is that I thought you had paid those 40 pounds for just a promo. But it's ok now haha Very Happy

Wow it really got ridiculous Neutral
For the same price I'm going to buy this http://www.metronomy.co.uk/shop/en/metronomy-special-pack---the-remix-andamp-singles---vinyl--mp3-99567/ (I have non of these in vinyl). So this lot + the english riviera will cost me around a full tank of fuel. I'll try to drive a bit slower next month to compensate, that's all :]

Kinda glad you guys didn't buy it for such a price btw! And bundle you linked to is very interesting seeing it has YCEHM Surprised But I have it already :]

I have the YCEHM 12" as well: #137.

Pre-ordered the Riviera vinyl + bought some glasses from the Holiday video.

Another, more official-looking remix promo has come up: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Metronomy-Look-6-MIX-2011-PROMO-CD-Fred-Falke-/250797337928?pt=UK_CDsDVDs_CDs_CDs_GL&hash=item3a64afad48

Only difference between the two is the loss of The Look radio edit and two instrumental versions of the Moonlight Matters and Fred Falke remixes.

Just won it for £5.36 in total (about 7 times cheaper than that other promo!)

Yes, much better.
Esp. if the only difference are those instrumentals.
Will you rip it?

Here I really can't wait to get those vinyls D:

The radio edit is missing as well but I don't think that matters either.
I'll rip it as soon as I get it (received an email yesterday saying that it had been posted).

Coming soon: Metronomy - The Bay (Erol Alkan Rewathever Remix)

@Jon: are you the one bidding? I guess not as you already have the other 6-track one. I'm not sure I'm willing to buy this right now. It can wait.

No but I'm not going to bother; just decided to put in a £30 bid and the guy's max bid is £23. I don't want it to go crazy like last time again. Also, I checked my messages and got a second chance offer on the item, meaning that the original guy didn't pay for the CD.

Also, Metronomy produced this song of the new Sophie Ellis Bextor's album:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgsj5bxr010

You can check the album here: http://www.discogs.com/Sophie-Ellis-Bextor-Make-A-Scene/release/2844319

It really sounds like Metronomy Razz

I thought she died with that Murder on the Dancefloor track. Apparently not. Still sounds like a good track either way reminds me of Metronomy's remixes actually.
